Trinity River proves treacherous for family

Reports say Jessi and Shillah Hightower, with their 3 small children, were swimming at the Trinity River Plaza Subdivision. The mother and 3 children were swept downstream by currents. They grabbed on to a tree as they were swept past. The father swam out and returned the youngest child to shore, then returned to the tree where he stayed with the others until rescuers from the Kenefick Fire Department reached them by boat.
