Harrelson in-law indicted for record
tampering
Misti Gayle Hale, the daughter-in-law of ousted Liberty County Treasurer
Janet Harrelson, has been indicted in Harris County for tampering
with government records. Information indicates the woman is alleged
to have altered a subpoena issued to her husband, Jason Hale, to appear
before a Liberty County Grand Jury investigating his mother, Ms. Harrelson,
and replacing his name with her own. Reportedly this was done so that
Mrs. Hale could get off work and come to her mother-in-law's grand
jury proceedings. Misti Hale was arrested and is now said to be free
on $5,000 bond. As reported, tampering with a government document
is one of several criminal charges lodged against Janet Harrelson
herself. (Courtesy KSHN Radiogram)
YMCA seeking paid staff, volunteers
The Liberty County YMCA has successfully initiated a number of programs
in the Cleveland area, including after-school child care, soccer,
and special events for junior high students. The programs have been
so successful that openings are now available for paid staff members,
as well as volunteers. Part-time employment is being offered to those
wishing to work in the after-school child care center; training and
certification in CPR and first-aid will be given to these paid staff
members. The Youth Soccer program needs coaches and other volunteers
to help with the large number of children expected to participate.
The YMCA offers full training to coaches; it is not necessary to be
"soccer-savvy" to become part of the Youth Soccer program.
Contact Katina Delk at 832-423-9993 for information regarding employment
and volunteer opportunities.
